Cisco has just laid off a few tens of employees in India, as part of a global realignment. The layoffs come at a time when the Indian market is looking up for the firm which has over 11,000 employees in India. Its revenue crossed the $1 billion milestone in India in 2017-18. In 2016-17 it had revenue of Rs 7,510 crore and net profit rose to Rs 658 crore.
