The petition claimed that though WhatsApp had declared in the Indian SC that its services were encrypted, it had conceded later before a US court that the privacy of many was breached in the alleged spyware attack. The top court in India was not informed of this, the petition said, seeking a criminal probe into the snooping allegations and perjury action against WhatsApp.
