Ministry may notify guidelines before the next hearing of the case in the top court which is expected in the last week of Jan, say sources. The apex court is hearing all petitions filed in various HCs with respect to the legal obligations of social media platforms & how they should provide info of users posting & transmitting ‘harmful’ content.
