Canada has postponed 5G spectrum auction process by six months. In a statement, the innovation ministry said that it wants telecom companies to focus on providing essential services during COVID-19 pandemic. The auction planned for December 2020 will now be held in June 2021. The government will start consultation period in August for the 3800MHz band, the key for 5G networks.
