Apple iPhone manufacturers Foxconn and Wistron and local handset makers Karbonn, Lava and Dixon have applied for the Centre’s Rs 41,000-crore production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme, which seeks to establish India as an export hub rivaling northeast Asia’s electronics powerhouses.
