Other than Samsung Electronics, overseas majors Hon Hi (Foxconn) and Wistron besides Indian contract manufacturers Dixon Technologies and UTL Neolyncs have also qualified for incentives under the scheme and are waiting to hear from the ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY). Taiwanese contract manufacturers Hon Hi (Foxconn) and Wistron make Apple iPhones in India, whereas Samsung makes its own smartphones.
