Due to non-availability of 4G services, BSNL has already lost huge subscriber market share to private telecom operators over the last few years and held under 10% at May end, in the market led by Reliance Jio, with nearly 36%. Second-ranked Bharti Airtel had a nearly 32% share, while cash-strapped Vodafone Idea had around 23%.
