Bharat FIH, which manufactures for Xiaomi, was the top local manufacturer for smartphones in 2022, with 9% share, followed by Dixon Technologies with 8.1% share. Dixon subsidiary, Padget Electronics, which manufactures smartphones for Motorola was the fastest growing EMS player with 70% on-year growth in 2022, in volume terms. In value terms, iPhone makers Foxconn Hon Hai and Wistron led the charge.
