The tariff hike by cable and DTH operators in India is expected to boost their subscription revenue, as TV broadcasters have increased their prices following the notification of the New Tariff Order (NTO) 3.0. A recent FICCI-EY report revealed that TV subscription revenue contracted by 4% in 2022 due to a reduction in pay-TV homes and stagnant consumer-end ARPUs.
