According to a senior sector analyst, BTL’s total payout toward its Airtel rights issue entitlement is estimated at around Rs 8132.6 crore in proportion to its 38.75% stake in the telco. Of this, it paid Rs 1,918 crore on application around two years ago. So, another Rs 6214.6 crore will need to be paid in additional calls, going forward.
