The ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY) has said that establishing display fabs will be a priority under the proposed Semicon 2.0 scheme, as it will help boost domestic manufacturing and reduce imports. Some of the proposals that have already been received but have not yet received a nod for subsidies include those from Vedanta and Rajesh Exports.
